Still not a Swiss Roll, But I have Big Love for Pie

Pudding & Pie having a cuddle
Hey Pudding Fans,

See what I did there? I got a little sports reference in, Dad would be proud. Speaking of Dad he made me sit and watch the FA cup semi-final on Saturday, apparently he was supposed to be giving me my bed time bottle but it wasn’t very relaxing! He kept jumping out of the chair and making me almost wet myself with his over-enthusiastic shouting. Mummy just tutted at him, it’s ok for her she wasn’t the one who nearly drowned on several occasions. I am only 4 months but I already have an inkling that I won’t be a huge football fan…

What I am a fan of though (other than parsnip) is my big brother Pie, he is awesome πŸ˜†, he is probably the only one who understands what it is like living in this mad house with these ridiculous dogs. He is getting pretty good at communicating my needs to mother, although I do get a little indignant when he tells me I am a ‘grumpy poo pants with grumpy bits!’ I mean how is a girl supposed to react to such a statement? I have managed to accept this crazy Harry Potter phase and we now regularly curl up together while he watches it, still not a great lover of wands though. Probably because there is always that fear that I might lose an eye (a fear shared by mother dearest).

I think this week Mum may have lost her mind slightly as she brought this crazy thing downstairs and hung it in a door frame then put me in it! There I was suspended, barely touching the floor. I did a few little bounces and she thought that was great but then Toby (that giraffe stealing sausage) licked my face so I clouted him on the nose (that was revenge for Sophie). Pie decided that what I needed was for him to bounce me which ended up in me getting cross and vomiting on the carpet in a moment of protest, suffice to say I don’t think Mum will be trying that out again anytime soon!

I would like to say that I had an update regarding the rolling – but as of yet I have not been able to work the magic. The elusive rolling, remains a mystery to me. Pie has been ‘helping’ but again not a great ending (more sick more Β cross Pudding). Mum says I will get there – but when, it’s just so frustrating, there are so many naughty things I could be getting up to if I could just move. Saying that I am hoping to really catch her off guard and roll off her bed one morning while she is putting her knickers on…

Anyway enough rambling from me – mum says its parsnip for tea and as you know this girl loves a bit of parsnip!

Love Pudding xx

  1. Don’t worry about the rolling over little pudding, your very very very distant cousin – my first born πŸ™‚ never rolled or crawled and he was still a very happy bubba! So nice your big bro is trying to help you though. x

  2. Such a funny post! I wish that my little one had one of those doorframe bouncers pudding, she would have loved it. And don’t stress too much about crawling, it will happen, or maybe you’ll be clever and go straight to walking! πŸ˜‰ Claire x #BloggerClubUK

    1. Oooh don’t say that to mummy she would freak if she left the room and came back to find me walking about ha ha! Mum is threatening photos of me in the bouncer, sure that she will post some soon (just hope it’s a good hair day!) thanks for commenting x

  3. Great update pudding! You sould like you have been busy and it must be quite exhausting for you. Don’t worry about not being able to roll over yet, that time will come and then you will be able to get up to lots of mischief! #puddinglove

    1. I just see it as extra time to plan said mischief – honestly mum won’t know what has hit her when I finally get on the move! Thanks for linking up and commenting x

  4. Love the way you’ve updated us pudding and I think your affection for your big brother is beautiful…he’s probably a grumpy poo pants with grumpy bits sometimes too! Good work on the Sophie revenge and happy parsnipping x #puddinglove

  5. Haha I love your pudding and pie updates! I wouldn’t worry about the rolling either, Harry got to nine months without rolling, sitting or crawling and in the space of one day he did all three!! #puddinglove

  6. Ah the sister/brother love is adorable. Don’t worry about rolling over, I think it’s overrated (I haven’t managed it either ;)) Sorry to hear about your bouncer problems – vomiting is an annoying but common side effect. Love, Baby Anon x #puddinglove

    1. I know we will get there, I hope like me you are hoping to catch mum unaware πŸ™‚ I have to say the vomiting doesn’t worry me, but mum gets mad when she doesn’t realise and stands in it ha ha. Thanks for linking and commenting x

    1. They really are so cute together – its easier to do this than try to keep a baby journal which I am rubbish at πŸ™‚ Glad it gave you a chuckle. Thanks for commenting and linking up x

    1. Thank goodness Mummy had started to worry that my legs were to chunky to get any leverage! Good luck Josh sure we will both be on the move soon. Thanks for commenting and linking πŸ™‚ x

    1. Ah thanks chick the blog design is an ongoing project – requires a bit more peace and quiet than I am allowed! Thanks for your lovely comment and linking up. See you next week for co-hosting yay x

  7. I love this post and the way you write! So funny! I definitely think you will be rolling over and catching Mummy out!!
Love the linky, although, I am new to all of this and the badge just keeps appearing as text?! I will research what I need to do! Sorry! X

    1. This morning I managed to roll off mums legs and face plant into the bed – I am nearly there, she is keeping tabs on me now!! Thanks for commenting and linking this week x

  8. Great post, I loved the description of the bouncy thing told by baby πŸ™‚
Thanks for linking up to #BloggerClubUK πŸ™‚

    1. The parsnip thing is getting out of hand – one morning I am going to go to the cot and all that will be lying there is a short fat parsnip ha ha. Thanks for commenting and linking up x

  9. hahahaha I do love puddings conversations. However I would like to tell you that I think she is in cohoots with my little one because she is currently trying to dive off the bed whilst I get dressed… heart attacks daily!!

  10. The door jumpers are awesome. I had one that lasted through all 3 babies and gave it to a friend when I was done with it. I have never tried a parsnip! Is that shocking? But I do love a good cup of tea! Thanks so much for hostessing #puddinglove and I apologize for my delay in commenting as I have been busy with everything but blogging!
